Toy company no longer producing action figures based on Gina Carano's 'Mandalorian' character

As Twitchy reported a few days back, “Mandalorian” star Gina Carano was booted by Lucasfilm because of her “abhorrent and unacceptable” social media posts; she was also dropped by her agents after comparing hating someone for their political views to neighbors turning in Jews to the Nazis. On the plus side, Carano has teamed up with The Daily Wire for a feature film project.

If you have an action figure of Carano’s character Cara Dune, hang on to it; toy company Hasbro reportedly has no plans to produce any more. They really are trying to erase her from existence.

Complex reports:

The American toy conglomerate hasn’t made a public statement on the future of Cara Dune figures. However, a rep for the retailer BigBadToyStore told the Hollywood Reporter pre-orders had been called off because no additional figures are going to be produced.

In their statement, the retailer rep noted the popularity of the Cara Dune figures that were released last year, after which initial plans were in place for another run.

“Due to recent events, Hasbro was no longer approved to produce any more of this figure,” the rep said, per THR.

So we can’t necessarily blame Hasbro, then, because it’s not approved to produce the figure? Will Disney use its movie magic to remove Carano from past episodes?

In the meantime, Disney can turn its attention to other pressing matters, such as its racist and colonialist “Jungle Cruise” theme park ride.
