You’d think Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, would be more concerned that Democratic leadership in the form of Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer have reduced Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s attempt to revise world history to a “GOP smear” and are calling for Republicans to apologize to her.
Instead, he seems more concerned that Republicans are “weaponizing” Tlaib’s own words by, you know, quoting them.
With regard to @RashidaTlaib's comments, 3 things can be true at the same time:
1) When any public figure makes comments about deeply sensitive issues, such as the horrors of the Holocaust, that are inaccurate or misinterpreted, it's appropriate to clarify/correct their remarks. https://t.co/xTUZts6krs

She’s had all day to correct her remarks, but instead, she’s claiming the GOP is trying to silence her and retweeting support from notorious anti-Semites like the leadership of the Women’s March.
2) Palestinians did not provide “safe haven” to Jews post-Holocaust. They opposed the entry of Jews to Mandate-era Palestine and opposed the creation of a Jewish state alongside an Arab state.
