Charlize Theron's 3-year-old declared their own gender and she's going with it

This is a tricky one because, as conservatives, we (in almost every case) believe that parenting is best left to the parents and no one else. Sure, some parents are happy to take their toddlers to the public library for Drag Queen Story Time … which has become a thing for some reason.

Actress Charlize Theron is making news after an interview in which she said she’s raising her 7-year-old as a girl after the child declared its gender identity at the tender age of 3.

Charlize Theron says she is raising her 7 year old, who was born male, as a girl.

She claims her child made this decision at the age of 3.

My three year old told me he was a lion the other day, but I’ve never considered inflicting irreversible emotional damage on him by raising him as one.

We did have fun pretending he was a lion for a while, you know, like mentally healthy parents do.

My 3 year old is regularly a cat but I still let her use the human toilet and sleep in a bed.

Maybe I should be a better parent and opt for a basket and a litter tray.

Oh my… I think kids come to terms with the difference between the two genders at about 6. Then there is the question of what it means to be a man or a woman which is a long process we still wrestle with sometimes. Just let kids be kids. We are confusing them.

If someone experiences dysphoria and transitions later on, fine, I fully support trans people. But raising a young child as the opposite sex sounds extremely harmful and there are cases where it has lead to a lot of problems later on (look up David Reimer)
