Before the government shutdown, Sen. Chuck Schumer reportedly had offered “well north of the $1.6 billion in wall funding Trump had asked for this year,” according to two Democrats, but on Sunday, Schumer took the wall funding off the table.

Democrats have done their best to spin the shutdown as a win for their party, and they seem pretty jazzed that Schumer is saying no to a border wall. This must be that “potential for momentum” that Debbie Wasserman Schultz was talking about.

That’s great, but … what exactly does she mean by “this”?

Pretty much.

Not so fast: Resistance leader Scott Dworkin is still insisting the Democrats won the shutdown, big time.

So … the Democrats, who took the blame for this shutdown by putting illegals first, are going to do exactly the same thing again? That must be what Dworkin considers winning.

The right? Even the lefty New York Times couldn’t ignore that it was Democrats who blocked the funding bill.

When your messaging doesn’t connect even when amplified by the mainstream media, maybe you don’t have a winning message?
