The Broward County Sheriff’s Office just sent out a press release about former Deputy Scot Peterson, who allegedly failed to confront Nikolas Cruz as he shot up Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day.

When Peterson told he was suspended without pay while an investigation was launched, he resigned.
