Former Washington Post reporter Jose Antonio Vargas is a well-known advocate for illegal immigration (and he is illegally in the country himself), but apparently he also has strong feelings about gun control. At least, he has strong enough feelings to snap a picture of a “no guns” sign at the University of Kansas and tweet his approval.
Of course, it didn’t take long for conservative blogger (and Twitchy contributor) El Sooper to figure out the irony here.
Illegal who ignores immigration laws @JoseIsWriting thinks crazed murderers will observe a "gun free zone" sign: https://t.co/FeeTaDR7wD

Making everyone a possible victim. RT @joseiswriting: Guns not allowed inside University of Kansas. That's good! http://t.co/lk2Wu8rO0g

yup. illegal @joseiswriting can't answer a simple question: if illegals can ignore immigration laws why can't everyone ignore gun control?

hey @joseiswriting if I put up a bunch of "illegal free zone" signs will you leave? Just as effective, huh? https://t.co/FeeTaDR7wD

So, Vargas is fine with the fact that signs and laws don’t stop sane people from crossing a border illegally, but somehow they’re going to stop heavily armed lunatics from shooting up schools? As Master Yoda might say, “Make sense, this does not.”

But Vargas wasn’t done.
My grandpa, a naturalized citizen, was a security guard, an NRA supporter. He wanted to give me a gun for my 18th bday. I refused.

… and neither was Sooper.
.@joseiswriting can illegals even own guns legally?

Interesting question. I'm not "illegal," here illegally. “@SooperMexican: .@joseiswriting can illegals even own guns legally?”

"Gun Free Zone" signs are the "strongly worded UN letter" of gun control. Liberals love them and they usually mean disaster ahead.

Oh well. Some people never learn.
