Rep. Elijah Cummings and Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are now really, really interested in conflicts of interest and potential issues with a charitable foundation now that it’s President-elect Donald Trump:
.@RepCummings: I have asked @jasoninthehouse to hold President-Elect Trump to the same standard he held @HillaryClinton to.
— Oversight Committee (@OversightDems) November 22, 2016
But Rep. Cummings didn’t hold Hillary Clinton to that standard.
More from Dems:
.@RepCummings: The American people don't want to see elected officials benefit from their positions. They want fairness and transparency.
— Oversight Committee (@OversightDems) November 22, 2016
.@RepCummings: The American people deserve to know if their President is benefiting financially from holding office.

Good luck with that. As Republicans found out during the past 8 years, Congressional investigations are limited in what they can do.
