The New York Daily News might have written him off as an evil clown with an army of mindless zombies, but Brad Thor, prolific best-selling author of political thrillers, has been observing GOP candidate Donald Trump on the stump and thinks he has the character of “strongman in waiting” down.
The conversation arose from a post on Hot Air, where Thor outed Trump as a CINO (conservative in name only).

@BradThor Just like Reagan left the Dems back in the day. Some of us left the GOP early to beat the traffic.

@BradThor Many of us are already doing that. I'm a Republican so that I can vote in my state primaries. But the GOP leadership is useless.

@BradThor bolt the GOP and live in the wilderness? admit defeat? or work along w/ whomever gets the nomination to move the country forward?

@BradThor I think they should wait and see what happens. I'll bet he will govern like a Conservative.

@BradThor He makes Obama look humble. That's hard to do.

No, he can change! At least that’s what he told Bret Baier yesterday.
Donald Trump asked tonight about his language –"I will be changing very rapidly. I'm capable of changing to anything I want to change to"
— Bret Baier (@BretBaier) February 11, 2016
@BretBaier probably should have said he can adapt to a particular situation as it arises

@BretBaier I picked up on that sound bite too. -People don't change.
