Forget about Christopher Dorner and President Obama’s State of the Union address. Judging by the response on Twitter, the biggest story of the evening was Sen. Marco Rubio’s lunge for a bottle of water during his GOP response speech.
Wait. Did Sen Rubio think there was a cutaway shot when he took s swig of that water? That was awkward! #SOTU

Marco Rubio's furtive/terrorized look towards the teleprompter as a stole a quick swig of water may be more memorable than what he's saying

I'm listening on radio and the play-by-play of Rubio's water grab was fantastic.

I was starting to get bored watching the Marco Rubio speech, but then the epic bottled water showed up!

Hysterical, Rubio ducking down and reaching off-screen for bottle of water. I thought someone was about to throw a shoe at him.

Note to Rubio: It's better to reach calmly for a glass of water on hand, than to grab your mouth and then lunge for a drink.

Rubio grabbed a drink of water like he was robbing the bank. Homeboy, the camera never turns off! #SOTUReponse

Very good substance, strong delivery, awkward but human dry mouth/water swig moment. #sotu #Rubio

Maybe there’s a silver lining?
On the upside, Rubio now a possible spokesman for dry mouth syndrome.
