The NBA conspiracy of the night is that David Stern intervened in the draft in order to secure the number 1 pick for the New Orleans Hornets. Tweeps note that last year Stern decided to step in to prevent the Hornets from trading Chris Paul to the Lakers. That was possible because up until just recently the NBA owned and operated the Hornets.
At the time of the Chris Paul mess Stern’s office justified their meddling by saying they’d done it for “basketball reasons”. So, Twitter wants to know. Did Stern mess around with NBA operations for #BasketballReasons? Whatever that’s supposed to mean.
David Stern and them #basketballreasons strikes again.
