@saulsaenznews13 @Bakari_Sellers Yay! Power to the People
— Molly McGuire (@LiberalMolly) May 10, 2017
Palestinian terrorist apologist Linda Sarsour delivering a commencement address? Cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal delivering a commencement address? That’s just “social justice,” “free speech,” and “democracy” at work. But Betsy DeVos delivering a commencement address? That’s just beyond the pale.
That’s evidently the rationale of graduates at Bethune-Cookman University. When the education secretary stood up to speak to the future leaders of America, she was greeted with a sea of turned backs:

@saulsaenznews13 @JimTrotter_NFL Very disrespectful

@saulsaenznews13 @MrDanthraxxx The tolerant left at it again

@saulsaenznews13 @JimTrotter_NFL Bunch of babies. ❄❄❄❄ Can't wait to see them in the real world.
— Raider4Life (@Pryme21tyme) May 10, 2017
And we’d lay odds that if asked to explain why they’re protesting DeVos, they’d come up empty.
@saulsaenznews13 @MyNews13 I'd bet money that they have no idea why.

@saulsaenznews13 @abedelrey What she do so bad?
— Devonte Swing (@Crash_Bandecoot) May 10, 2017
DeVos’ plea for intellectual and ideological diversity is evidently all it takes.
Holy cow, #bethunecookman dean interrupts DeVos speech, threatens students "your degrees will be mailed to you!" They persist! pic.twitter.com/nkcqZrbXJ0
— Tommy Christopher (@tommyxtopher) May 10, 2017
They persist in acting like petulant brats. But by all means, let’s celebrate their behavior. No doubt it’ll get them far in life.
@tommyxtopher I would prefer my degree mailed to me than take it from her. She is unqualified and should not be the secretary of education.

@saulsaenznews13 Welcome to the silent protest. I bet that stung her a little.
— J. Redeau (@JoshuaRedeau) May 10, 2017
@saulsaenznews13 Happy to see they are standing for what they believe.
— Willi (@Williy121) May 10, 2017
@saulsaenznews13 awesome. Good for them
— Jason Blackwood (@JasonBlackwood) May 10, 2017
@saulsaenznews13 GOOD for them. She is #GOPevil
— usedtobgop (@usedtobgop) May 10, 2017
@saulsaenznews13 @Lannatexasgal I would have done the same thing. It was an insult to have her there on their big day. She does nothing to support education or minorities.
— Selene Babaar (@selene_babaar) May 10, 2017
@saulsaenznews13 Very good my fellow HBCU GRADUATES

@saulsaenznews13 @Bakari_Sellers Good for them! That is what I would do.
— Erin Lawes (@ErinLawes) May 10, 2017
@saulsaenznews13 Good for them. Devos is anti-education. She does support indoctrination, however. Perhaps she can find someplace else to speak.
— Peaches O'Reilly (@Peaches_OReilly) May 10, 2017
@tommyxtopher @fawfulfan I'm sorry these students got their graduation hijacked got this, but really proud of them for standing up. The college should be too.
— Bitterchick (@ohHollyHell) May 10, 2017
@tommyxtopher @fawfulfan Best act of resistance I've seen. I love the faculty in the back trying to keep straight faces.

@saulsaenznews13 So proud that this is our future. #Resist #WeAreTeFuture
— IamDavin (@DavinDuhamel) May 10, 2017
Maybe “Te Future” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
@saulsaenznews13 Spoiled college students, our nation is in trouble with these kids becoming our future
