A lot of Americans are still having trouble swallowing the Obama administration’s assertion that their ransom payment to Iran wasn’t a ransom payment, per se. This explanation from White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest will no doubt erase any remaining skepticism:
White House defends cash payment that led to hostage release as emblematic of Obama's "tough diplomatic strategy" https://t.co/3xv5uDOvRw

All of this was accomplished without a shot being fired. All of this was accomplished without U.S. troops being deployed, and it’s an indication of how effective the president’s tough diplomatic strategy has proved to be.
Oh, is that what it is? Well, then. Guess we’re done here!

"Tough diplomatic strategy??" From WH press secretary!! Ah, just send em some money to cause more terror? That's real tough strategy

@PressSec The words "tough diplomatic strategy" should be nowhere near Obama's name. Paying ransoms isn't a strategy. It's insanity…
