So it seems “The Interview” was only the beginning:

From The Hollywood Reporter:

In the wake of the hack attack on Sony because of their North Korea assassination film The Interview, New Regency has dropped plans for a North Korea-set film, sources confirm to THR.

Gore Verbinski was attached to directPyongyang with Steve Carell to star.Pyongyang, a comedy based on a Guy Delisle graphic novel, had been slated to start shooting in March, sources say. The story centers on a Westerner in North Korea who is accused of espionage. But it was dropped after hackers launched an aggressive and financially devastating attack on Sony because of the studio’s film The Interview, which centers on an assassination attempt on North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un.

Is this real life?

Seriously. Because this is bullcrap.

Ugh.

Editor’s note: The title of this post has been amended to clarify that the film that’s been scrapped is separate from “The Interview.”
