The man identified by police as the officer who shot Michael Brown has been named as Darren Wilson, a six-year veteran of the force. But in the ensuing rush to learn more about Wilson:

The speculation appears to have led to a case of mistaken identity.

Sgt. Darren Wilson, of the St. Louis PD, is president of the Ethical Society of Police. And according to the group’s Facebook page, he is not the same man who reportedly shot Michael Brown:
