Break out the champagne, y’all! Healthcare.gov is a bona fide success:
Despite website problems, Pres Obama says http://t.co/v0y6p1MBiM visited nearly 20million times, so far.
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) October 21, 2013
Ooo! That totally means it’s “working just fine,” right? Because, just as “health insurance” is the same as “health care,” “page hits” is the same as “successful enrollment.”
People visiting the site and NOT buying really isn't a bragging point.
— Brian Faughnan (@BrianFaughnan) October 21, 2013
Obama is counting web hits and letters written to him as successful enrollments.
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) October 21, 2013
Ridiculous. Also ridiculous? The idea that 20 million site hits is remarkable:
20 million hits over 2 weeks is nothing for a major website's likely peak. Can we talk about that?
— Sunny (@sunnyright) October 21, 2013
So has Drudge. TODAY. MT @WhiteHouse President Obama: "So far, http://t.co/LcJg7igArD has been visited nearly 20 million times."
— Jim Treacher (@jtLOL) October 21, 2013
More than that. RT @theIsh: Visited 20 million times? Hey @EdMorrissey, how often was Hot Air visited in the last couple months?
— Ed Morrissey (@EdMorrissey) October 21, 2013
"Gangnam Style" has been visited 1,795,227,847 times. Beat that, http://t.co/R0y6vRJn8c!
— T. Becket Adams (@BecketAdams) October 21, 2013
Not only is President Obama foolish to tie traffic numbers to enrollment success, but he’s dishonest. Prospective applicants are consistently met with timeouts and error pages:
O: "Turns out there's a massive demand" for Obamacare. Site visited 20 million times. But most are frustrated when they try to log on
— HowardKurtz (@HowardKurtz) October 21, 2013
But according to Obama, they’re already benefiting. We all are. We just don’t know it yet:
"You may not know it, but you're already benefitting."
— David M. Drucker (@DavidMDrucker) October 21, 2013
Obama: You're actually already benefiting from this law, America!
— Guy Benson (@guypbenson) October 21, 2013
Obama: "You're already benefiting [unemployed, uninsured, working part time] because of this Law"!
— High Horse (@CharlesHamerle) October 21, 2013
What a joke.
Obamacare is good even though it sucks.
