Sen. Ted Cruz craves liberty — and sliders. And as he explained to the Senate this afternoon, Obamacare’s an obstacle to both.
One of the strongest arguments against Obamacare is how damaging it is to businesses. During his speech this afternoon, Cruz cited White Castle as an example of a business that’s seen its growth greatly reduced in anticipation of the Affordable Care Act. As Cruz points out, that’s a problem for businesses and consumers alike:
Fewer restaurants means fewer jobs, and consequently fewer sliders. And that’s bad news all around.
But while Cruz was essentially making a serious point about the government’s effects on business health, he also succeeded in whetting tweeters’ appetites for fun:
