Grab the barf bag: Politico swoons over President Boyfriend and his 'dazzling' smile

And our appetites remain lost.

It looks like Politico has finally given up on maintaining any semblance of objectivity. This morning, writers Todd Purdum and John Harris pooled their powers of swoonage to celebrate “what’s right with President Obama”:

Nauseous yet? Brace yourselves:

His adversaries are implacable, but a critical mass of Americans still like to feel better about themselves because they feel good about Obama, just as they did when they elected him twice. The public understands that the president’s biggest structural political problems are not of his making, and none of the setbacks of the second term have altered the fact that people basically like the guy.

Serious, you guys! Obama’s handsome and likable and handsome and good for our self-esteem. And handsome. Oh, and he totally isn’t responsible for any of that stuff that he did.
