Wow. You know, we were really skeptical about gun control until we read this piece of brilliance from comedy writer Jess Dweck:
When a piece of lettuce makes someone sick, we recall all the lettuce

Rock-solid analogy there, Jess.
Lettuce is the new Skittles, or somethinghttps://t.co/2j4Cx54M3W

Or something.
We do not ban the purchase of lettuce. https://t.co/YACfgD5BCR

But we don’t “ban” the lettuce ?
— Kemba (@kembageorge) February 16, 2018
This is correct. What we don't do is ban everyone from buying lettuce

When a gun works properly we………never mind. @TheDweck

All you haters and losers making fun of her just don’t understand the nuance of her argument:
Hats off to all the brilliant minds noting that a piece of lettuce is not the same as a gun. You have utterly destroyed my point that we address some public health issues while ignoring those that a powerful political lobby would like us to ignore
— Jess Dweck (@TheDweck) February 16, 2018
Bless her heart.
Nice try. Your analogy sucks.
Bacteria causes the threat, not the lettuce. We only destroy the tainted batch, not ALL lettuce. Salad bars across the country will vouch.
Similarly, firearms are not the threat. They’re inert objects that merely reflect the intent of the handler.

Let me know when lettuce becomes a constitutional right. Until then it was a completely idiotic comparison.
