Well, there you have it:
President Trump just called me. Still on phone.
"We just pulled it," he tells me.— Robert Costa (@costareports) March 24, 2017
VOTE POSTPONED.

BREAKING: House Republicans, short of votes, withdraw health care bill.
— The Associated Press (@AP) March 24, 2017
Per aides: The speaker advised the president that they should not vote today on #AHCA. The president agreed. House GOP meeting now 4 update.

Apparently much to Democrats’ chagrin:
The House just went into recess as Democrats loudly chanted for a vote on the floor

So … does this mean the AHCA is officially dead in the water?
The postponement of the vote is the smartest thing GOP has done all week.

AHCA lacked language suggesting HC should be more affordable, portable, market-based, and not forced. Good. #FullRepeal https://t.co/Li5AYrIYHn

No vote is the smart move. No incentive for anyone to vote yes at this point. Lick wounds, walk it off, move forward.

AHCA has been pulled. A defeat for Washington but a small victory for Americans. It's small because the burden of Obamacare is still alive.

Ryan: "The president gave his all in this effort, he did everything he could" "He has really been fantastic"

Ryan: 'I don't know what else to say, other than that Obamacare is the law of the land.'
— Byron York (@ByronYork) March 24, 2017
Ryan: "When they [Dems] see how bad this gets, I don't think they're going to like this either"
— Matthew Sheffield (@mattsheffield) March 24, 2017
Ryan says the failure to pass ObamaCare repeal, "clearly makes it more difficult to enact tax reform" in the coming months.
