Remember when liberals flipped their lids over Bret Stephens joining the hallowed halls of the New York Times? They were terrified that a rabid right-winger like Stephens would corrupt the sanctity of the Grey Lady and do irreversible damage to her reputation.

Little did they know they had nothing to worry about. With precious few exceptions, committed Never Trumper Bret Stephens has remained steadfastly on the Left’s side through thick and thin.

And it doesn’t look like he’s got any plans to change that anytime soon:

Peep that headline, yo: “The Right Weaponizes America Against Itself.” Quintessential liberal media spin. It just doesn’t get much more classic than that.

Unfortunately it appears that pretty much anything gets past their editors.

Go ahead and just add it to the pile:

Well, maybe not all the weaponizings … surely there are still some things out there that the Right hasn’t weaponized yet. Like, what about oranges? The Right hasn’t weaponized oranges yet, as far as we know.

Of course now that we’ve said that, it’s bound to happen any day now.

That’s exactly what’s happened.

They will. Rest assured, Jane, that there will be pouncing.

And also weaponizing. Lots and lots of weaponizing.
