Well, the Twitter Civility Police have done it again. And we’ve gotta say, they couldn’t’ve gotten this one more wrong:
Hey @twitter: @dminor85 has been locked out for replying to a hate tweet. Here is the kicker, he replied nicely and the entire exchange happened 6 years ago.
Here is the screen capture of the message he received informing him of the Lockout:
Is this right? He was the victim. pic.twitter.com/PexVdmDkeZ

If you’re not familiar with Demetrius Minor, he’s consistently polite, a rarity on Twitter these days. And for him to be suspended over a six-year-old, perfectly civil response to a decidedly uncivil tweet is nothing short of shameful.
Unbelievable. This stuff is beyond embarrassing, @jack. cc: @TwitterSupport https://t.co/4v56KrsBg3

If Twitter's broken AI isn't going to work right, they need to stop using it. This is ridiculous.

Update:
Minor has a humble request for Twitter:
Hi @Twitter, I was momentarily suspended on here for a racially-threatening tweet that was sent to me in Oct 2012. Why I got locked out for something I didn’t do 6 years is beyond me. PLEASE investigate charges before making reckless choices. For context, I’m attaching the tweet. pic.twitter.com/BFhhHu1h8t
