As Twitchy told you, Michael Avenatti burned a pretty big bridge when he let slip in a TIME interview that he thinks the 2020 Democratic nominee “better be a white male.” Apparently among all the awful things he’s done, for many of his biggest cheerleaders, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
HuffPost’s Ashley Feinberg, for one, seems really disappointed. She had such high hopes for him!
what’s incredible to me about avenatti is that he was so perfectly poised to be a widely beloved figure that burning through all that good will as quickly as he has is a genuinely impressive feat

I criticize Ashley a lot, but this is genuinely hilarious. Very well done. https://t.co/db2bMjQvRF

That tweet is probably the best thing Ashley’s ever written.

What color is the sky in Ashley Feinberg’s world?
What's incredible to me about the scorpion is that it could have crossed the river in perfect safety if it had only kept its stinger to itself.https://t.co/jWvT8j1g0B

Translation: @ashleyfeinberg tolerated Avenatti's defamation of Kavanaugh when the public didn't know Avenatti was a monster, but now the PR doesn't look so good. https://t.co/BNV30a9W9K

What you all liked about him was that he was a d-bag who hates the right people, no?
— Tim Carney (@TPCarney) October 26, 2018
Yep.
You aren't seeing him burn through anything, you are seeing him fail to meet the false narrative that the press bestowed on him. He is who he always was, but you see him clearly now as his usefulness to you has ended.
