Bravo, Newsweek. You’ve done it again:

This scoop on Ron DeSantis from Ramsey Touchberry is really something:

The day before a series of suspicious packages believed to be bombs were sent to the homes of former Democratic leaders and media offices, the campaign of the Republican candidate running for Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, sent an email to supporters saying it wanted “Hillary Clinton’s visit to be a kiss of death.”

“I want to make sure that Andrew Gillum knows that inviting his failed presidential candidate is the WORST mistake of his campaign,” the DeSantis email said, referring to Democratic opponent and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum.

“I want Hillary Clinton’s visit to be a kiss of death,” the messaged continued in bolded lettering.

The DeSantis campaign did not respond to Newsweek’s request for comment about its choice to use the words “kiss of death.”

Ron DeSantis has nothing to answer for. But Newsweek sure does.

Whoever it was clearly doesn’t take his or her job seriously.

But hey, at least they added an update to make everything better:

In other words, “The entire premise of our headline is garbage and we have no evidence whatsoever tying the DeSantis campaign to any bomb threats but we’re going to leave the post up anyway because journalism.”
