Last week, David Hogg announced that Publix would be the next company to lose his very valuable business over their financial support for pro-NRA gubernatorial candidate Adam Putnam.
But aside from threatening to buy his chocolate chip muffins someplace else, Hogg wasn’t really clear on how Publix would suffer. Until today:
.@Publix is a #NRASellOut
In Parkland we will have a die in the Friday (the 25th) before memorial day weekend. Starting at 4pm for 12 min inside our 2 Publix stores. Just go an lie down starting at 4. Feel free to die in with us at as many other @Publix as possible.— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) May 23, 2018
Ah, yes. A die-in. That tried-and-true method of enacting real change by lying on the ground and annoying people.
We must hold these businesses accountable just like our politicians.

Bless your heart, kiddo.
A die-in??? Oh my god. This is getting more and more ridiculous.

Going to lie on the ground because your not getting your way? My toddlers do that.

And once again, Hogg’s timing is just impeccable.
The Friday before memorial day, I see a lot of people and kids getting hit with shopping carts and a lot of people getting arrested

As usual, plans were not thought out well in advance.

We’re guessing we’ll want some popcorn for this. Good thing Publix sells it!
I love @Publix they have nice clean stores and great customer service. Don't get in the way of my cart.

@davidhogg111 you are so clueless to think that stupid stuff like this is gonna do anything. Grow up kid

Anti-labor David Hogg boycotting employee-owned @publix is just wrong. I support small business, and the hard working owner operators. Show your support for labor, and go shop there. https://t.co/b6a0mMmMBh

Something tells us Publix will be just fine. Hogg’s success rate … not so much.
You realize that the more you do this, the more successful these businesses are, right? It drives sales up, and drives support up. By all means, keep going.
