Gina Haspel is on her way to becoming the next director of the CIA. Feminists should be doing cartwheels at the prospect of a woman ascending to such a powerful position. But Gina Haspel isn’t a real woman. At least not according to the standards set forth by feminist crusaders like Jessica Valenti:

In other words, Gina Haspel is the wrong kind of woman.

Well, if nothing else, at least Jessica is admitting that modern feminism has no interest in empowering conservative women.

If Valenti thinks Haspel is the wrong choice for CIA director, why can’t she focus on Haspel’s qualifications, or lack thereof? It’s simple, really: Modern feminism isn’t about empowering women at all.
