What a difference a (D) makes!
Earlier today, a reporter asked Mike Pence why he’s so “out of the loop” on the news:
Question to Vice President Pence about Rob Porter: "Can you comment on why you often seem a little bit out of the loop on some of this major news?" pic.twitter.com/oi5vt8iKS5

The optics there certainly don’t do Pence many favors, but where were questions like this when Obama — the actual president — was playing the ignorance card?
Good news, guys!
“I heard about it when you did on the news” is no longer an acceptable answer from the White House. https://t.co/OlCF236ome

Fine line between a legit Q and trolling. Did anyone ask Obama why he was constantly learning of things from the newspaper? https://t.co/qe2kHBm2su

The media weren’t exactly known for holding Obama accountable for what he did — or didn’t do.
I acknowledged it was a legit Q but it is also necessary to expect more from the media, as consistent standards correspond to credibility. Of which the media has precious little right now, and it would be useful if they ever really wanted to rein in Trump. https://t.co/mb73plu0sd

Exactly.
