The sulfur-infused spirit of the late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez lives on. His hand-picked socialist heir and ruling party candidate Nicolas Maduro has reportedly won election with 51 percent of the vote.

The supporters of opposition candidate and Miranda state Governor Henrique Capriles smell a rat.

Capriles had tweeted earlier in the day about possible fraud.

Demands for a recount are spreading across Twitter.
