Sean Hannity tells Akin to quit race, Akin says he’s staying in … for now; Will media frenzy continue?
Remarkable, indeed. It has been all Akin, all the time since yesterday afternoon and it shows no sign of stopping today. First, rumors started swirling that Akin would drop out of the Missouri Senate race. But, wait! He then went on Sean Hannity’s radio program. Hannity tried to push Akin into dropping out.
Akin refused. Sort of.
Twitter users recap the exchange.
At the start, Akin said he was announcing that he is staying in. As the interview wrapped up, however, he left an “out.”
As Twitchy has reported, other Republicans have called for Akin to quit the race.
However, not everyone is on board with that.
Will he or won’t he? Stay tuned to Twitchy! In the meantime, this Twitter user sums up the media’s part in the whole mess.
Ironically, he lied during a surprise appearance at the White House press briefing. See, he can totally chatter with the press … if it suits him and he can crow over Akin. Funny, but they don’t seem to be reporting on the outlandish lies he spewed during his patronizing few minutes with them.
Whether you want Akin to drop out or not, it’s clear that the press will do its best to keep this going, non-stop. It helps The One, you see.
