A woman who answered the phone at the Bethesda, Md. medical center for the military on Wednesday confirmed to TheDC that a threat had been made, but said she had no additional information.
A spokesman at Walter Reed did not immediately respond to a phone and email message left Wednesday morning. But the medical center tweeted on Wednesday that all “appointments at Walter Reed Bethesda have been suspended until 1pm today.”

NBC is now reporting that there is no real threat, but that the investigation is proceeding as a precaution.
