The Metropolitan Opera will be performing an opera based on the murder of wheelchair bound Jewish American businessman Leon Klinghoffer at the hands of Palestinian terrorists. An opera that humanizes terrorism is bad enough but performing it in the murder victim’s hometown seems deliberately offensive. The performance will not occur without protest though.

From The Washington Post:
“It’s unfortunate and it’s wrong,” former New York governor George Pataki said of the Met’s decision to program “The Death of Klinghoffer.” “Just the title says it all. Klinghoffer didn’t die. He was murdered.”

Ironic, raising security for an opera legitimizing terrorism.

Coward. If you support this garbage at least have the courage to show your face while doing it.
What’s next? A musical about the beheading of James Foley?
