Like many liberals, the New York Times editors are commemorating Labor Day by noting that American workers’ wages and incomes have been declining in recent years. It’s a legitimate concern. Yet those same Times editors support immigration legislation that would put downward pressure on the wages of low-skilled US workers for years to come.
