Republican civil war over immigration reform threatens its chance to regain White House in 2016. http://t.co/60eYftq9vM

Rep. Ellison and Professor Reich are echoing a statement made recently by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi:
“I believe that the members of Congress, many more than are directly affected themselves by the number of Hispanics in their district, will do what is right for our country,” [Rep. Nancy] Pelosi (Calif.) said in an interview aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And it’s certainly right — for the Republicans, if they ever want to win a presidential race.”.
This has been a Democrat talking point for awhile now:
President Barack Obama told House Republicans Wednesday that they would benefit politically more than Democrats would from supporting a comprehensive immigration overhaul, lawmakers present said.
It’s heartwarming to know that Democrats are working so very, very hard to help the Republican Party.
