Media Matters is really upset about the media’s coverage of Neil Heslin’s testimony to Connecticut lawmakers yesterday.
Just kidding!
In fact, Media Matters fellow Oliver Willis thinks the media did just fine. He is joining David Frum, MSNBC, and Lawrence O’Donnell in insisting that Heslin was in fact heckled, notwithstanding what the unedited video shows.
Willis adds an interesting rhetorical flourish in arguing that those of us who believe heckling did not occur (a rapidly-expanding group that includes Slate, The Week, Reuters editor Matthew Keys, and Piers Morgan’s executive producer), are “heckling truthers.”
Just remember this the next time your liberal friends accuse conservatives of being detached from reality.
