Utah Republican Dan Liljenquist, a tea party favorite, is challenging U.S. Senator Orin Hatch for the GOP Senate nomination in Utah. This afternoon, Liljenquist released a new video arguing that Hatch’s seniority is a liability, not an asset.

Says Liljenquist:

“He’s used his seniority in the last 15 years to pass national children’s health care, which he drove through and was the key driver of that bill. He used his seniority to dramatically expand Medicare, adding 16 trillion in unfunded Medicare liabilities to our books, the most financially irresponsible move since the 60s… He’s used his seniority to advocate for and push TARP and the bailout programs.”
