President Obama has approved federal disaster assistance after the Boulder and Waldo floods devastated parts of Colorado. A spokesman for Boulder County says 17 people are unaccounted for today.

The people are not considered “missing” at this time. “It means we haven’t heard back from them,” the spokesman said.
