Did Todd Starnes get a Facebook time-out for posting about the NRA, Chick-fil-A and Jesus? Update: Facebook apologizes

Has Fox News Radio’s Todd Starnes been tossed into the Facebook gulag? On Saturday, he announced that Facebook had blocked him for violating community standards.

Starnes was blocked for 12 hours after posting this oh-so-objectionable Facebook message:

The NRA, the Bible, Chick-fil-A and a Paula Deen cookbook? Starnes and his Twitter followers are wondering exactly what Facebook “standard” that harmless post violated.

Last year Twitchy was temporarily banned from Facebook for posting “something that violates Facebook policies.” We reached out to Facebook and learned that Twitchy’s posts were accidentally removed during Facebook’s review process.

Update:

The removal of the post was a mistake, according to Facebook.

“A member of our team accidentally removed something you posted on Facebook,” read a statement from Facebook. “This was a mistake, and we sincerely apologize for this error.”
