No, he didn’t. And this wasn’t even the first time the Internet broke both of Julio Jones’ legs. But that didn’t stop the Twitter rumor mill this week.

Here’s part of the story that circulated on social media:

A spokesperson for the Atlanta highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Julio Jones has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation. He has been transported via ambulance to a local Atlanta hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time, however, both of his legs were visibly broken and not life threatening according to sources.

The “news” appeared on a website with this disclaimer: “FAKE… THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!”

The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver took to Twitter this morning to set the record straight about the #InternetHoax: “no accident, no broken legs!”
