Scandal? What scandal?

Several media outlets have confirmed that Amb. Susan Rice, the woman who blamed the Benghazi terrorist attack on a YouTube video on five Sunday shows, has indeed been tapped to replace Tom Donilon as National Security Adviser.

She will not have to undergo the Senate confirmation process.

The official announcement is reportedly scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday.

[Update: The announcement time has changed.]

Hey, while he’s at it, Obama might as well tap Samantha Power to replace Rice at the UN, right?

David Axelrod is thrilled, natch.

“Passion for service”? You spelled “lying” wrong, Axe.
