Audible gasps of "WOW" In hearing room at Miller's last answer to Price on legality of targeting people or groups
— michael viqueira (@mikeviqueira) May 17, 2013
Yes, acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller testified that the “be on the lookout” list maintained by the IRS to target conservative groups was “absolutely not illegal.” Oh, it “shouldn’t happen” and stuff, he said in response to Rep. Tom Price’s question. But “horrible customer service” isn’t illegal, guys!
Miller says it isn't illegal for IRS to create lists to target Americans. Wow. Just wow. Well done @RepTomPrice

Nice job! @RepTomPrice Getting Miller on record saying he does not believe it's illegal for the #IRS to target political & religious groups

BOOM! Rep Price: “Do you believe what the #IRS did was illegal?” Steven Miller: “I don't believe it is.”

Update:
How ’bout that? Now Miller just isn’t sure. It’s not his “area.”
Miller, who said earlier that the IRS' conduct wasn't illegal, now says he's not sure. Great Q's by Schock. #IRS

Miller: Things "might be illegal but that's not my area". Well then just where does the buck stop? You were running it. #IRS #IRSHearing
