Our home whites are a little different today. We are so proud to play for our city. #BostonStrong

At an emotional pregame ceremony at Fenway Park on Saturday, the Boston Red Sox honored law enforcement and bombing victims.

In a moving gesture, players took to the field in special home-white jerseys that replaced the usual “Red Sox” with “Boston.” The jerseys also sport “Boston Strong” patches.

Just before he told the crowd, “This is our f*cking city,” David Ortiz mentioned the special uniforms.

After the game against the Kansas City Royals, the special home-whites will be autographed and auctioned off to benefit One Fund Boston, a charitable fund set up by the city to aid victims of the Boston Marathon terrorist attack.
