President Obama’s PolitiFlacks are at it again.
Paul Ryan said Obama broke a promise to keep a GM plant open. False – it closed before Obama took office. http://t.co/ZbpBp6ob

Guide to fact checking: Obama says something false and they say it isn't false because he meant something else that is true. (1/2)

Ryan says something true and it is false because they decided he meant to imply something false by it. (2/2)

The president’s unofficial fluffers at PolitiFact produced an obscenely dishonest “fact check” of Paul Ryan’s GOP convention speech, giving a rating of “False” to his statement about the Janesville, Wis., plant that closed after Obama took office.
Ryan said Obama broke his promise to keep a Wisconsin GM plant from closing. But we don’t see evidence he explicitly made such a promise — and more importantly, the Janesville plant shut down before he took office.
We rate Ryan’s statement False.
What date would PolitiFact have us believe President Obama was inaugurated?
The Janesville Gazette claims last day of production was April 23, 2009. PolitiFraud rates this claim "False." http://t.co/SFgBHwmS

As for Ryan “falsely” claiming that Obama broke a promise to keep the plant from closing, we rate PolitiFact “Pants on Fire.”

More from President Obama, via Hot Air:
As president, I will lead an effort to retool plants like the GM facility in Janesville so we can build the fuel-efficient cars of tomorrow and create good-paying jobs in Wisconsin and all across America.

PolitiFact and other hacktastic Obama lapdogs have completely descended into self-parodies.
If only the media outlets put an ounce of the effort their pouring in to "fact checking" Paul Ryan's speech into ANYTHING Obama says…

If only. But sadly, that is not the way of the lapdog.
Who fact checks the "so-called " fact checkers?

Fact checkers, check thyselves. Or face the snarking and shaming of the conservative Twitterverse.
I would be glad to teach @Politifact how to use Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw to fact-check. Also included: how to use The Google.

If they’re not familiar with this “Google,” here’s a site that might help with that.

We rate that one “subjectively accurate.”

Freaking fact-checkers just became the “shovel-ready” jobs. Replete with nose plugs & safety glasses for the average American.

PolitiFraud is a desperate propaganda arm of a desperate Democratic Party.
— Phil Kerpen (@kerpen) August 30, 2012
Generally speaking, I know something is both absolutely true and politically damaging to Democrats whenever PolitiFraud says it's false.

The nice thing about the Tampa Bay Times and its hyperpartisan PolitiFraud unit is now everyone knows what a liberal rag that paper is.

Last night PolitiFact proved it's a propaganda arm of the Dem Party–it couldn't nuance the story to Obama's benefit, so it just lied.

@jeffemanuel @EWErickson not to worry. Truthifact will be created to fact check Politifact. Layers of silliness.
— Brandon Finnigan (@B_M_Finnigan) August 30, 2012
The painful truth is setting the fact checkers ablaze today, including newly minted “fact” checker Ezra Klein who relied on PolitiFact to bolster his lies.
Paul Ryan isn't under fire from fact checkers today. Fact checkers are under fire from facts.

And oh, how sweet it is!
I love the smell of discredited fact checkers in the morning.
