On Memorial Day, instead of honoring our fallen military heroes, the History Channel is airing a “Pawn Stars” marathon.
RT if you’re watching the #PawnStars marathon on HISTORY right now, and tune in tonight at a special time 8/7c for an all new episode.

Maybe, like MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, History Channel programming directors are “uncomfortable” honoring the heroic men and women who sacrificed their lives so that others might live free from tyranny and oppression. The Twitterverse is disgusted.
@HistoryChannel You clearly have lost focus on what today is all about. You want RT on Pawn Stars? How about RT on thanks to our troops

To be fair, what beside Pawn Stars would a network called "History Channel" play on Memorial Day?

I find it terribly sad that on this #MemorialDay weekend, @HistoryChannel has chosen to run a PAWN STARS marathon!

Are you kidding me @historychannel? It's Memorial Day. You could try and do a little better than a Pawn Stars marathon.

Hey, Chuck Grassley, surely this calls for a tweet or two?
UPDATE:
After a flood of criticism, the History Channel Twitter feed acknowledged Memorial Day:
Memorial Day honors those who died while serving in the American military. http://t.co/DCuM8DOw

Tweet using #thankavet to donate $1 in honor of Veterans. Find out more at: http://t.co/WG0endC3

But the Memorial Day programming lineup was indeed an all day “Pawn Stars” marathon.
