The effort by MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle to explain how those voicing concerns about impending inflation are wrong to do so is not going over well.
Inflation airhead: NBC's Stephanie Ruhle says the "dirty little secret" of people complaining about paying higher prices for food and fuel for their homes is they can afford it just fine. According to her, people should have been saving during the pandemic and stocks look good. pic.twitter.com/RQ90focIXJ

According to @SRuhle, people should stop complaining about paying more for food because the price of their homes has increased. So, should they sell their home or take out a loan on it to buy food? https://t.co/zxL6N2ukjT

One of her other arguments is that a majority of households have investments in the stock market. But much of that is intended for retirement. So, is Ruhle's advice for them to tap their 401Ks early to survive the winter?

SISTER PLEASE!
Millions of Americans CANNOT afford these surges at the gas pump and grocery store. Read the NBC polls! Folks are worried, disapprove of Biden/Harris. https://t.co/4lTkyu3Jpc

You gotta love when leftists try to convince people who are hurting that they're not hurting. Great strategy!! https://t.co/IdFYIOua9U

Ruhle starts by passing off a summary of Biden's talking points from last week as analysis. Then she faults the character of Americans who complain about higher prices for goods. Finally she closes by saying people who own houses and stocks are doing great so get over it. pic.twitter.com/BB7BaEwNNX

The "dirty little secret" is not that Americans saved last year because they didn't go out to restaurants and their homes increased in value. The dirty little secret is that American journalism is produced by & for people who go to expensive restaurants and own expensive homes. https://t.co/mzJPrzpWGU

This is absolutely one of the most tone-deaf, obtuse comments I've heard in some time. https://t.co/1xmmij2jz2
