Irishman Shane Lowry won the 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland.
Here is Lowry’s final putt to seal his victory.

It has been noticed that neither Lowry nor his caddie appeared to retrieve his winning golf ball from the 18th hole.
Uh, it appears Shane Lowry’s ball (quite the collector’s item!) is still in the 18th hole and may be left there because it seems (hard to tell from the TV coverage) his caddie took the flagstick with him. Some greenskeeper may have quite the find tonight! #TheOpen

Shane Lowry never picked up his ball out of the hole on 18 at #TheOpen and that’ll forever bother me

@GolfChannel did Shane Lowry ever get his ball out of the hole? Never saw him get it?

Did Shane Lowry just leave his ball in the hole and walk off after winning The Open???

Shane Lowry left his ball in the cup on 18 ??

So… Is Shane Lowry just going to leave his ball in the cup after winning #TheOpen? Does he know that's not how golf works and it's killing my OCD!

If Lowry did not end up with the ball, he will probably be able to purchase it soon for a tall sum.
