Three of the Navy fighter pilots who conducted a flyover during the laying to rest of former president George H.W. Bush spoke to ABC about the “missing man formation” and what performing that tribute meant to them.

This was a unique operation, according to one of the pilots:

“In terms of a 21-plane flyover for a presidential salute, none of us had ever done that. The Navy had never done that either.”

How cool is that!
