Constitutional lawyer and television legal analyst Alan Dershowitz says the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the 2016 election was a mistake.

He says there should have been an independent commission (such as the one on 9/11) delegated to investigate this.

He went on to make the point that the Mueller probe is made up of Republicans who cannot stand the president.

The problem with Mueller’s probe is that it doesn’t seem to be focused on getting to the root problems of the 2016 election and eradicating them. As Dershowitz points out, the primary objective should be finding the issues and changing laws to ensure that the same problems (whether infiltration, collusion or something else) don’t happen again.
