Huffington Post editor Sam Stein thought it appropriate to apologize in advance to Clinton supporters for reporters actually doing their job by covering Hillary’s health and following up by asking questions. Oh, and he has also generously deemed such coverage “fair.”
Sorry if this offends Clinton backers but it absolutely is fair to cover this incident and ask questions about it (in a responsible way)

That tweet is almost as humorous as the term journalism today. What’s “responsible” about apologizing for covering a major story?
@samsteinhp why are you apologizing in advance for doing your job?

@samsteinhp Is this what journalism has become? Apologizing for reporting facts? Sad.

You’re seriously preemptively apologizing to Clinton backers for covering a story? Scary. https://t.co/shHf1h3kOP

Remember all those times the media apologized for covering negative stories about Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush? We don’t either.
