Now that Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended, people are asking why Disney — ABC News’ parent company — fired Star Wars actress Gina Carano over her comments about the Holocaust:
They've asked Whoopi to take some time off to reflect. https://t.co/bn2RlvQo4N — @therealroseanne was just shown the door and stripped of her life's work. @ginacarano shown the door for posting something historically correct about Jews. Get your head on straight ABC/Disney

In reality, what Carano said was “far lass egregious”:
Tell this to @GinaCarano, who was fired by the same corporation for a far less egregious comment. https://t.co/Ab5CjMN45U

Over to you, Disney:
An important correction: @ginacarano's comments were far less damaging than Whoopi Goldberg's. They were harmless.

So much for being a “values” company:
Wow, Gina Carano lost her job at Disney over less. Like WAY less, but Whoopi gets a 2 week suspension for anti-semitism and DOUBLING DOWN ON IT. @Disney could care less about being a "values" company as Bob Chapek said. https://t.co/wNZIZE32zo

Neither of them should be fired, so “why aren’t equal punishments doled out for the same ‘crimes?'”:
I don’t want to see people get fired over saying dumb shit. But what about Sharon Osborne? What about Rosanne Barr? What about Gina Carano?
Why is Disney being so extraordinarily kind to Whoopi Goldberg here? Why aren’t equal punishments doled out for the same “crimes?”🤔🤷♂️ https://t.co/HIrIS22zVq

We *know* why:
Roseanne: Fired over a tweet
Gina Carano: Fired over an Instagram post
Whoopi Goldberg: makes racist/anti-Semitic statements about the Holocaust and gets a slap on the wrist
Liberal privilege is real!
