It seems that Daenerys Targaryen’s transformation into the Mad Queen and her burning of Kings Landing on Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” is not sitting well some female blue-check. Here are some of the dragon-fire hot takes we’ve seen:

In the books, as many have said, Dany is much more liable to make bad choices — she's a stand-in for George W. Bush destroying the Middle East! That's not the Dany this show created.

I'm still trying to process that we have moved from the women being badasses to the women either going mad or becoming weepy messes. Because THAT IS NOT OK in the year of our lord two thousand nineteen.

Remember why Dany locked her dragons up for an entire season because she didn’t want another small child to die?
WHAT. WAS. THAT.#GameofThrones

why did the writers do that woof

Daenerys' turn to the Mad Queen would've worked a lot better for me if the writers had teased it from the beginning (or even a few seasons ago!), not suddenly introduced it in the last two episodes to give the show a big shocking final turn. #GameOfThrones

Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen…BREAKER OF CHAINS and Mother of Dragons deserved better. Her character deserved so much better. pic.twitter.com/NUDVdNV0Ge

I'm still not sold on Daenerys as Cersei levels of violent and illogical. It all just feels really pointless now: why burn villagers and soldiers when you have an easy surrender? #GameofThrones

And here’s the quote of the day:
Now Dany’s gonna be killed by a mediocre dude it’s like the democratic primary with dragons
