It’s the end of an era. Actor Harry Shearer, voice of many characters on “The Simpsons” including Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner and Ned Flanders, tweeted earlier this morning that he is no longer with the show:
from James L. Brooks' lawyer: "show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best.". (1/2)

This because I wanted what we've always had: the freedom to do other work.
Of course, I wish him the very best. (2/2)— Harry Shearer (@theharryshearer) May 14, 2015
Thanks, Simpsons fans, for your support.

Wow. Many fans aren’t happy with the news:
@theharryshearer So what reason will there be to watch anymore? You're 50% of the voices.

@theharryshearer. WTH. You just rule that show. What a fool Brooks is.

@theharryshearer You know, they just need to hang it up then.

@theharryshearer Sorry to hear this Harry. You gave voice to some of my favourite characters. Thanks for the laughs and good luck!

@theharryshearer What? @TheSimpsons without the voice of Burns, Flanders, Lenny, Smithers, Skinner, Brockman, Hibbert, Kang & Scratchy isn't

According to IMDB, Shearer voices a total of 21 characters on the show. How do they replace that???
